Synopsis Nona, a Honduran funeral worker wants nothing more than to escape her poor, struggling existance and reunite with her mother in the United States. When she meets the enigmatic traveler, Hecho, she finds in him a means of escape and companionship. The two set off for the border and quickly find the journey is not as hard when you have the right company. But Hecho is not what he seems. As a coyote, he lures young women with his charming nature and deliveres them into a life of servitude. Nona tells the tragic story of how hope and longing can lead an innocent young woman down a torturous path, and the dream of a new life may not be worth the journey.
